Summary/Abstract: Attached to the values of tradition, more modern in form and style, Şt. O. Iosif is a typical case of lyrical syncretism. In his creation, echoes of most of the literary currents from the beginning of the 20th century can be identified. Thus, very clear influences of Coşbuc's lyric, in the beginning poems, in which the rural "idyll" is cultivated, with a predilection for "genre scenes", or for "icons", the village being perceived by the grid of vigorous, naive optimism, in pastel colors, without shadows. Here one can discern, before Goga, the intention of a monograph of the village, by recalling some archaic, archetypal traditions and rituals, even if the social reflexes are not completely absent.
