Summary/Abstract: In this paper we intend to debate some aspects of the poetry of one of the most famous contemporary poets: Rodica Braga. With the poetry of Rodica Braga we are in a very special area of lyrical imagination, hard to fit into an aesthetic canon. The poet crossed several important periods of Romanian poetry, knowing closely the generation of Nichita Stănescu, postmodernism and nowadays poets, so that her literary work could have been a tribute to all of these literary guidelines. Fortunately, however, Rodica Braga concentrated her imaginary on personal directions, in the centre of her poetry standing a pronounced confessive intent and a constant preference for self-definition through the creative act. We have therefore proposed to look at some of the thematic lines of her poetic work, with special attention given to the autofictional poetry.
