Summary/Abstract: Ionel Teodoreanu is one of the Romanian writers who are responsible for the enchanting atmosphere in which many of us, the ones, who read his books have spent childhood with the characters of La Medeleni.Growing up under our eyes, Monica, Olguța and Dănuţ became our siblings, confidentials or life models in whom we find some of our personality traits and we fashion ourselves to resemble as much as possibile to the sweet and shy little, Monica, to the fiary Olguța or to the fearless Dănuț. Obviously, times have changed, we grew up, and now we are facing a tense moment in our literature, in an attempt to retrieve Ionel Teodoreanu in the eyes of the ones who did not appreciate him in order to protect his name.
