Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes the bridge between the period of Enlightenment and that of Romanticism which was represented by the writings of William Godwin, which can be considered as part of the first period of English Romanticism, continuing with the "Lake poets" ,Wordsworth, Coleridge and Southey and last but not least, the second generation of romantic poets, Byron, Shelley and Keats. We will continue to talk about the artistic vision of romantic poets, about the concept of beauty that interests us, focusing on some of the most famous romantic poets at European level, Lord Byron and William Wordsworth. We will compare Wordsworth's attitude to Byron's regarding the concept of "beauty" in connection with the romantic movement of the 18th century. In addition, we will confine ourselves to a few poems, such as, "Wandered Lonely as a Cloud", "The Prelude," "Lyrical Ballads", "The Idiot Boy," "The Tables Turned”,,,The World is Too Much with Us" by Wordsworth and "Childe Harold's Pilgrimage", "The Bride of Abydos "," She Walks in Beauty" by George Gordon Byron, better known as Lord Byron.
