Summary/Abstract: Romanian lexis is into a continuous development and evolution by means of words that are coming into it, bring new meanings and accomplish a new role to the linguistic enrichment of our language. We are going to reveal the way in which sporting language, that is a professional one, influences the Romanian vocabulary, through words, expressions that are specific to different sporting domains.
