They describe the anthropology of migration, escape, and survival in sub-SaharanAfrica, indicate the persistence of suffering and violence in the Sahel and Central Africa, and foreground the endurance of myths about traveling to Europe. Referring to worksby Maciej Ząbek and Sebastien Bachelet, the author outlines the panorama of refugeeroutes in Africa, communities of desperation, and how migrants overcome the fencessurrounding Spanish enclaves in Morocco.
