THE LIVES OF RULERS AND ARCHBISHOPS FROM THE MEDIEVAL SERBIAN LITERATURE (XII - XIII) — A VALUABLE SOURCE FOR BULGARIAN HISTORY

Summary/Abstract: Thе study presents some of the lives of Serbian rulers and archbishops during the period from the end of the 12th and the first four decades of the 13th century, which contain information about personalities and events in Bulgarian history. An analysis and a brief historical comparison with non-literary sources by Serbian, Byzantine and Western European authors were made to highlight the uniqueness and significance of these literary sources as an important source of historical information.
