Summary/Abstract: Ștefan Barbulescu puts an emphasis on myth in order to rewrite the world and also he uses the sign as a code. The myth reveals the sacred dimension and the parable-like discourse decomposes the universe in order to reach the ancestral mould. In the first texts published by the author the expressionist affiliation is obvious by the depersonalization of the subject matter and by the preference for image. Starting with the volume ŖIarna barbatilorŗ there is a clear connection between man and the totem animal which results in universal dissolution being accepted with serenity as an act that states a new beginning.
