Summary/Abstract: This research intends to study a number of aspects related to the fruit tree terminology in the Romanian and Ukrainian idioms of Banat. After a brief history of the pomiculture in the Banat area, with indication of representative scientific analyses for the field in discussion, a series of phrases (terms) with multiple meanings are inventoried, their significance being related to plum brandy - țuică (răchie) and other products obtained from fruits.
