SOCIALIST REALISM AND THE RELATED TERMS

Summary/Abstract: Socialist Realism syntagm was used for an aesthetic orientation, a cultural movement centered on doctrine and a method of creative composition. It is also used as a time label of a certain stage of Romanian literature for two decades, at least. At the end of sixth decade (XX century) Socialist Realism was obsolete and the same dogma encapsulated everything under the polysemantic concept of Socialist Humanism Terms, such as Proletkultism and Zhdanovism, shed some new light on this topic.
