Summary/Abstract: The article proposes an overview of what was the avant-garde in the Romanian cultural space, anartistic current that wanted the proposed change of perspective to be achieved by the rupture of everythingthat was unanimously accepted as a valuable, extremist variant of the Romanian modernism represented byIlarie Voronca, Benjamin Fundoinu, Ion Vinea and Tristan Tzara.
