Summary/Abstract: The paper aims, through the media lens, to highlight the meaning of active culture. In Banat, a cultural model is articulated by adapting and mediating, reflecting the relevant spiritual, social and historical discourses for times governed by a great civic spirit. The profoundness of these discourses stimulates the cultural activism of both the teacher and the finest scholar. We could say a social praxis in manifestations of form and intensity specific to Banat, although it occurs in all our historical provinces during the nineteenth century and beyond. The principle of active culture bases the theoretical approach to investigating the relationship between its manifestations and the concrete historical context. Of course, it is due to the force, pathos of the manifestations and the specific purpose of the speeches.
