Summary/Abstract: This article aims is to define what a Ponzi scheme is, to present the known types of Ponzi scams and how they operate, focusing also on the legal implications for Ponzi scams, as well as on the warning signs for the potential victimis and authorities. The paper adopts both qualitative and quantitative research methods. In achieving the objectives of the study, data were sourced from secondary materials, i.e. relevant books, journals and internet materials.
