Summary/Abstract: Germany plays a leading role in the process of European integration. Germany is actively involved in the development of the institutional European Union, deepening and expanding economic integration of the new Member States. The economy of Germany is one of the leaders in the world. In terms of gross domestic product Germany ranks fourth in the world after the U.S., China and Japan. In terms of exports Germany is third in the world after China and the United States. What negative consequences did the global economic crisis have for the economy of Germany? What was anti-crisis policy of Germany? What were the effects of anti-crisis policy for the German economy? These are the main research questions. In conclusion, the author states that the anti-crisis policy in Germany has been successful. Germany is still the driving force of the European economic integration.
