Summary/Abstract: The erotological analysis of Stanković’s literary opus, based on the analysis of female characters but also on the relationship towards the patriarchal community, confirms the writer’s innovativity, primarily in the domain of the ways he builds up his characters. A deepened psychologization, an awareness of their own sexuality and the limits of the body single out Stanković’s heroines in comparison to the heroines that can be found in the work of his predecessors – Lazarević, Matavulj, Ranković, Ignjatović, as well as his contemporaries – Kočić, Matavulj, Ćipik, Uskoković, Domanović. When it comes to the relationship towards the patriarchal setting, it is obvious that Stanković simultaneously criticizes the patriarchal community and, on the other hand, the majority of his work has a motif of regret for the past times which nourished the patriarchal value system. The criticism of patriarchy is primarily based on the attitude towards an individual and strict norms that restrict his erotic being, while Eros should exclusively be interpreted as an impulse to live.
