MODERN DIMENSIONS OF MILITARY CONFRONTATION

Summary/Abstract: Today, the germ of the new global security architecture plays an increasingly important role in the international community's concerns. When discussing conflict, we must consider first the image of a state of misunderstandings, disagreements whose relevant feature is the absence of violence. Then, we should include in the setting aspects defining confrontations triggered by antagonistic interests that have the potential, under certain circumstances, to degenerate turning into violent clashes. The most dramatic element is the military confrontation called war. The permanent dynamic nature, value and size of specific aspects of military confrontations, require detailed knowledge in order to refer to them accurately, to understand correctly their specific determinations and to approach them in a scientific manner.
