Summary/Abstract: This article relates about the pre-natal phase of human life in the light of Messenger’s legacy. It comprises of two parts. The first part discusses Messenger’s teachings regarding the topic. These teachings are further classified into general directions and specific instructions. The other part of the article offers a scientific analysis of the subject matter. In fact, there is a number of traditions speaking of the physiological processes that occur in the pre-natal phase of life. These traditions are interpreted today in the light of scientific evidence and are also used as an argument in claims about the supernatural origin of the Sunnah.
