Summary/Abstract: This article presents the presence of Poles on the islands of the Pacific Ocean, i.e. in Polynesia, Melanesia and Micronesia, which dates back to the 18th century. They were mainly naturalists accompanying explorers, independent researchers representing various disciplines (e.g. Edmund Strzelecki, Bronisław Malinowski), writers, journalists, World War II refugees, or missionaries. The text also briefly reports on the contemporary activity of Poles and people of Polish descent in the area.
