Summary/Abstract: The practice of praying was especially performed by our Saviour Jesus Christ, who taught His disciples how to pray (lex orandi). The Holy Fathers indicated to us the path ofthe true faith (lex credendi). The Holy Fathers have passed down to us the invaluable ethos and experience of true prayer (lex vivendi). The Lord’s Prayer is anticipation of, and participation in the life of God and the Most Holy Trinity. Therefore it necessarily and wonderfully concludes with a doxology or praise to God, through Christ, in the Holy Spirit, expressed in the ecphonesis: For Thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory, of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.
