FEMALE FERTILITY. RAISING FOR MARRIAGE AND PARENTHOOD. DANCE PARTIES’ MATRIMONIAL ROLE

Summary/Abstract: Although female fertility lasts a short period of time, it determines the consummation of marital and parental tasks. The objective of the paper is to analyze the process of upbringing towards marriage and parenthood and to discuss how the parents can support their children in the context of a relatively short fertility span. The paper examines relevant historical customs. Material and methods: Literary text analysis. Conclusions: Young people more and more postpone the decision to marry and have children. Simultaneously, it seems that nowadays the children are left alone with this problem and the parents are passive. In this context, it seems advisable to have the parents play a greater role in marital choices. Some former customs such as dance parties can inspire us. Some aspects of the relationship between a parent and the adult child should probably be modified as well. The role and competences of parents should increase.
