Summary/Abstract: This article introduces Daniela Şontică’s book “30 romanian writers in exile (1945-1989)” published in 2022 by Basilica. It represents a tribute to an entire generation of intellectuals from Romania, that faced tough and unforgiving times. Daniela Şontică, journalist and writer, an active and valued presence in contemporary cultural debates, proves the lucifity to understand the relation between our times and the erudite heritage and the intellectual concerns of the past generations.
