Summary/Abstract: The problem in the communication of children with disabilities is one of the main obstacles in their socialization and inclusion in society. Computers, smart devices and artificial intelligence can help children progress. Artificial intelligence, in a broader sense, can be a computer program that simulates the behavior of an intelligent being. A program developed on that basis is able to make decisions and recognize phenomena and patterns that it has never had the opportunity to see and analyze before. We can see the application of artificial intelligence all around us. Modern software development allows developers to use ready-made platforms based on machine learning and artificial intelligence with minimal effort and adapt them to their needs and use. Possible applications of artificial intelligence in the education of children with disabilities are different. The multimedia of devices available to children and their ability to maintain children’s attention for a long time can be used to recognize, analyze and compare videos, sound and exercise coordination, to develop communication, social skills, as well as for various diagnostic systems. Content based on artificial intelligence can enable work with children both at school and at home. This paper was created as part of the project “Development of software to improve communication, academic and social skills of children with disabilities.”
