Summary/Abstract: This research was carried out in order to determine the attitudes of women towards violence against women and their exposure to domestic violence, to examine them in terms of some variables and to contribute to the studies to be done within this framework. In this context, 450 women who received service from 19 Family Centers in Ankara Mamak district were reached and the data of the research were obtained by applying the socio-demographic form, the Domestic Violence Against Women Scale and the İSKEBE Attitude Towards Violence Against Women Scale. It was determined that most of the women participating in the study had a negative attitude towards violence against women, however, their attitude levels increased more on violence against women's bodies. The level of violence against women is higher among women with higher education levels and working women. Although the number of women who were exposed to domestic violence was low, those who were exposed to violence experienced emotional violence the most. Divorced women and women whose spouses use alcohol are more likely to be exposed to domestic violence. It is necessary to carry out more information and awareness studies to cover all segments of society, especially women, that violence is a behavior beyond physical violence that only includes behaviors against women's bodies. In addition, as both this research results and other relevant research data show, it is important to further research, study and increase the visibility of emotional violence, which is one of the most common types of violence that women are exposed to. Considering the importance of the social climate in the fight against violence against women in terms of preventive studies, it is considered as another important issue to investigate the attitude towards violence against women, which is a reflection of this climate, in a way that covers the whole society.
