Summary/Abstract: In this study, Fazlurrahman's life, works and their effects on Islamic thought will be examined. Fazlurrahman is one of the contemporary thinkers who adopts the understanding of reflecting tradition to modern life in Islamic thought. The scientific education he received has enabled him to become familiar with Eastern and Western culture. According to him, the main problem of Islamic thought stems from the lack of rational solutions in accordance with the spirit of revelation and a new method within this framework. According to him, the source of the solution is the mind and the Qur'an. In his works written in the field of tafsir, kalam, hadith and philosophy, he has dealt with his religious and philosophical views from this point of view. This work deals with Fazlurrahman's views on religion based on revelation and philosophy based on reason. By examining his works on the subject, his perspective on religiousphilosophical concepts such as God, man, the universe, reason, revelation and spirit and his contribution to Islamic philosophy were revealed. The references used and cited within the scope of the study will also not be shown in the text and will be given in the bibliography.
