Summary/Abstract: Dissoulution of Yugoslavia resulted in creation of new countries. In these new countries there have been numerous changes in every aspect, including changes regarding language. The languages that are being used in the new countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia and Serbia) are Bosnian, Montenegrin, Croatian and Serbian. In Bosnia and Herzegovina the languages of its constitutive ethnic groups (Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian) have equal status. Since many Bosniaks live in other new countries, and are even majority in certain regions, in this book we disscussed the legal status of their language – whether it is being used in the education process and in the mass media. In this book we discussed only the status of the language of Bosniaks in Serbia, Macedonia and Kosovo.
