Summary/Abstract: Solar energy production has many advantages. The construction of a solar plant is relatively quick, the photovoltaic modules are characterized by easy installation and connection. It is not difficult to match the location of a solar power plant with the infrastructural characteristics of a given area. An advantage of modular solar power generation capacities over traditional power plants is their ability to be expanded step by step in accordance with the increase in consumption. Photovoltaic plants do not pollute the air and water and preserve the ecological balance in nature. Despite the many advantages, conventional type photovoltaic plants also have a number of disadvantages, the most significant of which are short production times based on day length and long periods of decline in production based on seasonal changes. These shortcomings have a significant impact on the efficiency of production and, despite the preferential prices for purchasing the produced electrical energy, in some cases significantly reduce the effect of applying such technologies for energy extraction from renewable energy sources. The study of some of these processes is the subject of the present publication.
