Summary/Abstract: The work illuminates an overview of 50 studies and a monograph of critics who support Andrićand those who criticize him in the 21st century. It shows how and why the humanistic vision of the turbulence of the bridges is rooted in a dehumanistic and political idea that would promote Andric as a destructive personality and proclaim his work as a greater Serbian and anti-Muslim project. An overview and analysis reveal that new critics of Andrić, whether affirming or absolutely disputing, strives to emphasize the problematization of an increasing number of themes from the whole of Andric’s opus. The process of fundamental analysis began with Vučković’s BIG SYNTHESIS a half century ago and continues with new doctoral theses and the realization of scientific projects. The most important project in this century is the scientific project of professorBrankoTošović at the University of Graz: Andrić Initiative – Ivo Andrić in the European context / Andrić-Initiative – Ivo Andrić I meuropäischen Kontext (2007–2018). New scholars discover the essence of literary criticism and its social significance. Disputes that can be reduced to the formula: for and against Andric, which we have marked – essentially prove it.
