Summary/Abstract: The article concerns itself with the problems of the modern sketch and its place within Bulgarian literature in the period after the Second World War. The analysis presented in the article places the main emphasis on the communist ideology and its reflection in literature. The problem of how literary texts become a part of the process of building social mythologems also takes up a significant place in the analysis.
