Summary/Abstract: The aim of another publication which is a part of the “spoken history” project is to present the retired Greek Catholic Przemyśl-Warsaw metropolitan, Archbishop senior Jan Martyniak and his role as a restorer of the Greek Catholic rite structures in Przemyśl. The publication includes a calendar of Archbishop’s life, memories in which he goes back to various periods in his life: he talks about his youth and homeland, clerical years and studies, his biritualist ministry and the function of the Przemyśl metropolitan. The Archbishop also comments on the dispute between Catholics and Greek Catholics concerning the handing over of the former Carmelite church to the Uniates; he also remembers Bishop Stefan Moskwa as the one who received him after his arrival in Przemyśl. The Greek Catholic metropolitan is also presented from the perspective of Archbishops Józef Michalik and Ignacy Tokarczuk (recorded conversations by Rev. Stanisław Bartmiński). The text is complete with selected priests of the Eastern and Latin rites.
