Summary/Abstract: What did the contemporary press know about the confiscation of Jewish property in Northern Transylvania between 1940and 1944? The aim of the research is to find out the circumstances of the economic plundering of the Jewish population, how the various decrees were implemented, and how the press publications of the time presented the plundering process. This study also reviews the eff orts of the surviving Jewish population returning from deportation to recover confiscated movable and immovable property and the results of these efforts.
