Summary/Abstract: Online and hybrid courses in IT-related topics have increased demand and interest for decades, but recent pandemic situation made them critical. The present paper introduces the obtained results from a survey, related to online/hybrid training, among students in engineering studies in Bulgarian universities. The results reveal some of the issues and attitudes towards programming teaching, as well as some challenges and expectations of the students regarding online programming courses according to the recent educational requirements.
