Summary/Abstract: For many years, Młody Technik was one of the most widely read popular-science magazines in Poland. As a publication addressed mainly to young people, during the 72 years of its existence, it inspired many scientists, technicians and engineers. This article is an attempt to present the genesis of the title, along with the most important assumptions which guided the creators of the monthly, from the 1930s, through the period of development in the People’s Republic of Poland after the changes in the political system in Poland, to modern times in the Internet expansion era.
