Summary/Abstract: This study examines Alexandru Popescu-Telega’s activity in the 1940s, revealed by the surveillance file of the former Securitate. Telega was incriminated for his political involvement and for his relations with “reactionary circles in the country and abroad”, such as various Spanish, Italian or Argentine diplomats. Moreover, he was accused for his negative attitude against the communist regime, as well as the vehement critiques published in various articles or expressed in private conversations.
