Summary/Abstract: This article begins with an anlysis of development difficulties of BiH economy and economy of Republic Srpska. Afterwards the actual quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the economy in question were elaborated (such as macroeconomic deficits and institutional incompletions). In the second part of this article the essential preconditions for more successful economic development were presented as well as potential development factors. At the end, the scenario of the most important indicators of development of BiH economy has been presented.
