Summary/Abstract: In this article we examine the efficiency of cereal production in Poland from 1997 to 2019 using the DEA. The efficiency of voivodeships and their ranking before and after Poland's accession to the EU were determined, as well as changes in efficiency and productivity between the studied periods. The obtained results may be the basis for stating that in regions where large farms dominate, the process of increasing farming efficiency is much faster. An important factor of change are the development opportunities resulting from the favorable conditions of the economic environment for agriculture, as was observed after Poland's accession to the EU.
