A brief introduction to lithography

Summary/Abstract: In regard to all the multiplication techniques found in the history of arts, lithography remains the only technique whose historical provenance we know with certainty. Invented in 1798 by the German Aloys Senefelder, in his book Complete Course of Lithography, 1818, we find as the title suggests, a complete presentation of the lithography technique and its creative approach. The study of lithography requires an interdisciplinary approach, the technological innovations in the field of science and the new industry of multiplication have led to changes in artistic representation and new perspectives on the judgment of value.
