Summary/Abstract: WHITE - lie or truth? From the very beginning, from Newton's prism that made us ponder on the fact that white is the mixture of all colours, we have been guided to an untruth. True though it is that white has the power to render essence in the process of abstraction, confirmation can be traced in two distinct works ( Kazimir Malevich's "White square on white background"; Robert Ryman's "Untitled #17") in which white moves from the register of non-colour to the scenario of medium, expression, concept.
