Summary/Abstract: The application of the Soviet model imposed by Moscow in all “people’s democracy” nations also implied the taking over of certain communist myths, such as Stakhanovism. Starting from the example of the Soviet Stakhanovists, the communist regime in Romania tried to fulfill its economic goals using these “original” methods to increase productivity.
