Summary/Abstract: The author proves how Moscow controlled the religious policy of the people’s democratic regimes (1945-1948) based on political and ideological criteria. The Church, regardless of denomination, was actively involved in politics in 1946-1948, and it became one of the pillars of the East-European societies in the resistance against the Sovietization-Communization process.
