Five editions of the Timisoara International Biennale of Miniature Arts

Summary/Abstract: Once every two years we celebrate the miniature and the mobility of art. We have reached the fifth edition of this event and we notice that each edition brings to the fore consistent artists who have been evolving since the first edition within the International Biennale of Miniature Arts, but also young artists or artists who found out about its existence later. We can say that within the miniature we meet the experiences that marked art. Within it, countless mediums, various techniques, various searches for structures and constructions are investigated and mixed. As each technique represents a source of inspiration, then each miniature becomes an independent work in which the experiment collaborated with the imagination. This proves the necessity of a poetics of each miniature creator, a poetics more comprehensive than the limits of a craft, a true poetics of interdisciplinary creation.
