Summary/Abstract: The author continues in this study to describe the consequences of the occupation of Bessarabia by the USSR in the tragic year of 1940. This analysis seeks to bring to light less known aspects of the evacuation of Bessarabia, such as the anti-Romanian actions of minority groups or the manhunt (especially of Romanians) initiated and conducted by the feared Soviet secret police, the N.K.V.D.
