Summary/Abstract: The 20th century was the one that invented a new political regime: totalitarianism. From that point of view, there were states that exported this type of a political regime and states that imported it. Even if the foreign factor was decisive in most cases, there were also numerous domestic admirers, ready anytime to help establish a totalitarian regime, regardless of its nature: fascist or communist.
