Summary/Abstract: Restorative rhetoric related to the rhetoric of corporeality/illness found application in Western research on late antiquity monastic writings already a decade ago. However, these studies are not popular in Poland, which results in the lack of a lively discussion in the academic environment – for example on terminology, which is lacking in the Polish discourse, as well as on the specificity and prospects of using regenerative rhetoric as a methodological proposal. Therefore, this article will be an attempt to initiate a discussion on Polish grounds and to scout possibilities offered by the paradigm of restorative rhetoric in conjunction with the traditional rhetorical analysis (with regard to the subject of disease in the formation literature of the first centuries AD).
