Summary/Abstract: This study comparatively examines the digital violence that sports science students are exposed to on social media platforms. For the study whose sample included students of Batman University, a questionnaire about digital violence was used. According to the results of the questionnaire, students in Sport Sciences were exposed to more digital violence than students in other departments. Acts students of sports sciences were most exposed to were a requirement of social media or e-mail account password (23.1%) and persistent follow-up requests (20.5%). Students of the Department of Sports Sciences declared that gender, ethnic identity/race and physical characteristics were the leading factors in their exposure to these acts. When asked about the measures or reactions they used to prevent these acts, the majority of the students suggested that they considered options such as blocking or intranet complaining but they showed weak reactions to social measures or legal initiatives.
