Summary/Abstract: The author presents the system of purging the Bucharest higher education unit of undesirable persons and the steps taken towards the direct subordination of the University of Bucharest to the political regime. The educational reform purged the universities throughout the country, starting with the Bucharest centers. Thus, some of the best academic personalities were expelled from universities. D
