Summary/Abstract: The article aims to describe motivational and affective personality traits of adolescents assisted in residential care. The analysis is based on comparing the results of psychological testing among adolescents and teens in foster care and in families of origin. Data analysis has confirmed the existence of multiple sources of influence. There were differences determined by both urban and rural, by adolescent gender and young institutionalized status or raised in the family home.
