Summary/Abstract: Elections in the Communist regime were always a fake. Organized in detail, it created the illusion of democratic involvement in decision-making. All sort of collective councils and committees, purely powerless, gathered „representatives of the working class”. This is testimony of a former Communist Mayor who has been involved in organizing such fake elections.
