Summary/Abstract: The paper is based on the thesis that manipulation of collective identities is one of the frequently used and important strategies in political discourse. The subject of the research is a narrative matrix developed during twelve days of events that attracted the attention of the domestic and international public and were related to the denial of an Australian visa to tennis player Novak Djokovic. The analysis of the narrative proved the thesis that this event was used to induce ethnic homogenization and disqualify political opponents by manipulating collective identities.
