Essential moments of life were so investigated: birth/ christening, engagement/ marriage, and death/ burying, as well as growth and carrying practices, feeding, and maladies and pains, or plays, education and work. Children’s juridical and social status was analyzed too, especially the vulnerable categories: young girls, bastards, and orphans. Children owning and tentative to dispossess theme were also took into consideration. Traumas the children suffered by violence or Ottoman captivity weren’t ignored too. In conclusion, the study shows that childhood existed in the medieval Banat, its natural (biological) status was taken into account, and it was integrated into a particular cultural and social context.
