Summary/Abstract: This research aims to examine the attitudes of students, graduates and academicians of the Faculty of Theology towards Syrian refugees. In the research, especially through the students and graduates of the faculty of theology who receive religious education and academicians who provide religious education, we especially preferred a group with a relatively high awareness on the axis of believing in the same religion as Syrian immigrants. In this context, we examined the scores of the host country people, who are aware of the common religious heritage, in the sub-dimensions of perceiving, accepting or rejecting Syrian migrants as a threat. The research is a descriptive study structured with the relational screening model from the general screening models of quantitative research methods. The universe of the study is a total of 425 students consisting of randomly selected theology/islamic sciences faculty students, graduates and academicians throughout Turkey, especially in Ankara, Rize and Samsun provinces. In the study, we used a semi-structured questionnaire form and “Local People’s Attitude Scale towards Syrians”. During the analysis of the data, we used descriptive statistical analysis using SPSS program, t test for independent groups in binary comparisons, one-way analysis of variance in multiple comparisons (Anova), post-hoc test to reveal the difference between groups and correlational analyses to reveal the relationship between variables.
